Education about sepsis must reach every level of society — from the individual patient to the bedside nurse to the hospital administrator. AFADDUSA develops and distributes educational resources tailored to each audience, ensuring that the right information reaches the right people at the right time.
For patients and families, we provide plain-language guides on recognising sepsis, asking the right questions in a clinical setting, and advocating for prompt care. For healthcare providers, we support training on the latest sepsis identification and treatment protocols.
Our founder's personal experience — losing her husband to severe sepsis after a UTI in June 2022 — drives our commitment to education. 'Perhaps, if we had known more and enhanced medical protocols were in place, a life, his life, would have been saved.' That is why education is at the heart of everything AFADDUSA does.
